proposal for participative installation
Collaborative mapping of the web; This project aims at building a collaborative map visualising, collecting and organising associations between users´ queries and data extracted from the Web responsively, in the context of a multi-user online art installation transgressing the reductionist window imposed by web browsers, opening the boundaries of single web pages, cultural and social distances. By highlighting the browsing process, tackling innovative methods of searching, organising and presenting information in a virtual space, the point is to stimulate discoveries and encourage learning and global knowledge sharing.
Chanson d´Automne · Feb 2005
Coded message in a Google search; “Chanson d´Automne” is an allusion to the coded messages used during WWII to help organise the freedom movement. Thus, the first stanza of Paul Verlaine´s poem announced the imminence of Normandy landings, on the 6th of June 1944. It is the whole poem that is quoted in this work; however it is decomposed over 4 HTML pages, each of them electronically stored on a server physically located in one the 4 countries that took part in the Overlord operation (U.S.A., Canada, United-Kingdom and France).
